The Exit Envelope Service Agreement

Thank you for choosing The Exit Envelope. We know this may not be an easy moment, and we’re honored you’ve trusted us to help. By placing an order through our website, you agree to the terms below.

What We Do

The Exit Envelope helps coordinate the lawful service of legal documents through independent process servers. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice or legal representation.

Your Responsibilities

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have the legal authority to request service of the documents you submit.
  • The information and documents you provide are accurate and complete.
  • You will notify us if any important information changes.

Our Commitment

We’ll work in good faith to:

  • Review your request.
  • Coordinate with a qualified process server.
  • Keep you informed throughout the process.
  • Provide proof of service or documentation of service attempts when available.

Because every case is different, we cannot guarantee successful service, service on the first attempt, or completion by a specific date.

Fees & Refunds

Our pricing is shown before checkout. If additional services become necessary—such as extra service attempts, long-distance travel, or rush service—we’ll let you know before charging additional fees whenever reasonably practical. Because work often begins shortly after an order is placed, refunds may be limited once coordination has started.

Respectful, Lawful Service

We only coordinate lawful service of legal documents. We will not participate in requests involving harassment, threats, intimidation, trespassing, illegal activity, or conduct intended to embarrass or harm someone outside the lawful service process.

Privacy

We understand that legal matters are personal. We use the information you provide only to coordinate your request, communicate with you about your order, process payment, and work with the independent process server assigned to your case. We do not sell your personal information.

Independent Process Servers

Process servers who accept assignments through The Exit Envelope are independent businesses or contractors responsible for complying with applicable laws governing service of process.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Exit Envelope’s liability is limited to the amount you paid for the services giving rise to your claim.

Questions or Concerns

If something doesn’t seem right, please reach out. We’ll do our best to resolve concerns fairly and promptly.

Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California.
